This was one of the most fantastic locations I have ever visited.
Sadly the building is in a very poor state and no one is allowed to visit.
An old set from Jan 2013.
Having spent a while wandering round this huge derelict timber yard I returned with Model Roswell Ivory,
and a latex dress from Pandora Deluxe.
I also do event photography, Boomtown Fair is an alternative festal in the U.K I was asked to shoot for.
The only job brief was to show people having a good time.
Shot over two separate visits.
Built in 1910, the 300-acre (1.2 km2) site housed some 2000 patients. It was based on the "Echelon plan", a specific arrangement of wards, offices and services within easy reach of each other by a network of interconnecting corridors.
Psychiatrists were free to experiment with new treatments on patients seemingly at will, using practices now considered unsuitable, such as electro-convulsive therapy (ECT) and the use of frontal lobotomy .
The hospital closed in the early 1990s. Source Wikipedia
From the very start I was shooting in unusual locations.
